Ventilation Units

Ventilation units and fans are used to  improve the cooling of equipment installed in the rack. Ventilation units are mounted either on 19" vertical extrusions (horizontally) or on the top or bottom frame of the rack (connecting kit required). Units with 2 to 9 fans are available.

EC technology

These units are efficient, ecological, economical! New high-quality fans feature electronically commuted synchronic motors, well known as "EC motors". These motors have low power consumption compared to standard AC motors. For example, the power consumption of our new DP‑VEC ventilation unit is seven times lower then the standard D-VEN with equal air-flow. On the top of it, DP-VEC provides up to 60% more air-flow than the standard DP-VEN.

Ventilation units - DP-VEN

  • One to nine fans
  • Possible to install:
    a) in 19" extrusions - horizontally
    b) on the top or bottom frame of free-standing racks
  • Connecting kit for ventilation unit is needed when installing on top or bottom frame
  • Temperature range -10 °C to 55 °C
  • Thermostat ranging from 0 °C to 60 °C included; no thermostat option
  • Voltage range 230V/50Hz (48V DC option)
  • Protection category to EN 60 529 IP 20
  • Color: RAL (standard RAL 9005)
  • Enhanced option DP-VEN-xx-E

Fans - DP-VE

  • Possible to install:
    a) on side or top of wall-mounting rack, special perforation needed (part number of the wall mounting cabinet to add a suffix VH for two side perforations or TH for two top frame perforations)
    b) in top or bottom frame of distribution rack, requires perforated gland plate DP-VE-ROV2 or DP-VE-ROV4

  • Two to nine fans
  • Possible to install:
    • a) in 19" extrusions – horizontally
    • b) in top or bottom frame of free-standing racks

  • Temperature ranges from ‑10 °C to 55 °C
  • Thermostat ranging from 0 °C to 60 °C included; no thermostat option
  • Voltage range 230 V/50 Hz (48V DC option)
  • Protection category to EN 60 529 IP 20
  • Color: RAL (standard RAL 9005)
  • High‑end versions with the most efficient EC fans DP‑VEC
